VITAMIXER

We have had a great weekend. Friday night our neighbors came over for pizza and the boys loved it. Jack and Sam play very well together, so we have decided to alternate weekends for a night out. Next weekend Todd and I will get to go out and leave Jack to play with Sam. We have been able to get out, but we always have to pay a sitter. This is just some time for him to hang with a friend and we get a free night out.
Saturday we had Jack's soccer in the morning and then we were off to the beach. Due to the shark attack we went to Coronado, but we went way down almost to imperial beach. It was so nice because it was not crowded and we could park close. Jack was so excited about going to the beach, but when we got there he was a little unsure. He probably remembers the one time in CC where he and I think Ava were wiped out by a wave. We plan to take him at least once a week so he can get use to it. Allie was pretty relaxed out in the open air. She laid and slept in the jogging stroller.
Sunday we went to church and then went to the wonderful world of Costco. Jack loves to walk around and try all the samples, so we watched the Vitamixer demonstration. He made a smoothie with fruit and veggies that Jack scarfed down. Then he made chocolate ice cream with tomatoes, cabbage, and carrots. Sounds nasty, but Jack scarfed it down and begged for more. It really was good. Well if you know Todd he is into eating healthy and we all drink a smoothie everyday, so what the heck why not buy the little sucker. Todd drove back to costco and bought the thing. Tonight he is making us ice cream for dessert. You can make soup, salsa, sorbet, and tons of other things. It really is cool. I will let you know how the ice cream is. We are excited about getting Jack to eat veggies, or I should say tricking him into easting his veggies. I plan to make juice for him and eventually baby food for Allie. We better use it everyday!!!!!!
